Showcasing the scenery images taken by the artist himself as a train hopper from inside a freight train

Keisuke Nagoshi, a photographer who has been capturing images of remote regions and minority communities around the world and has produced the books "SMOKEY MOUNTAIN", “CHICANO" and "BLUE FIRE", also won the Photographic Society of Japan Award for his work "Familia Homidanchi. This photo exhibition showcases the latest work by the artist, whose work has been featured on the TV programme "Crazy Journey”, is held at two different venues.

Nagoshi accompanied a group of train hoppers travelling on an American freight train (without paying the fare, of course) and took images during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of Nagoshi's previous works focused on people, this time it focuses on the artist’s emotion as he explains, "I faced myself while asking myself questions about the reality that I can't escape from wherever I am", "I had no subject and no objective, and just stood right beside a freight train at minus 20 degrees and looked at the wheels and honestly faced myself and it came out in the work".

The exhibition 'ON THE LINE', which brings together this trip, is held at DINER'$ CLUB in Meguro, Tokyo, from 10 to 26 June, and will tour to IMA:ZINE in Osaka from 23 July to 4 August.

Also, another photo exhibition titled 'ALL.' featuring photographs taken for the apparel brand RADIALL, starring actor Kiyohiko Shibukawa starts from 10 until 24 June at RADIALL HEAD SHOP.
