The store features a gallery space with the theme of Clarks Originals’ standard models

Clarks Originals, a British casual shoe brand that has long been popular in Japan, will open its world-first concept store on Meiji-Dori in Harajuku on 5 August.

The store space represents Clarks' origins in 1825 in Somerset, South West England, and the brand's worldview. "THE BRAND BOX", the space at the back of the store, has been designed with a curved wall, reflecting the comfortable feeling of wearing a Clarks shoe.

Clarks Originals has many iconic models that have remained the same over the years, such as the Desert Boot and Wallaby, and "THE BRAND BOX" will be a gallery space showcasing the beauty of Clarks Originals' those iconic models. The space was supervised by Shinichiro Nakahara, President of Conran Shop Japan Ltd.

To celebrate the store opening, a limited-edition model in black suede with black-and-white-tone Union Jack embroidered design will be released. Each model - Desert Boots (August), Desert Trek (October) and Wallaby (December) - will be launched sequentially.

Also, Clarks Originals Osaka will open in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, the following month on 16 September.
