Yohji Yamamoto and New Era® will release its latest capsule collection
Yohji Yamamoto and New Era® have become one of the most popular collaboration series. For this time, the capsule features the designer Yohji Yamamoto's own artwork titled ‘Beauty Looking Back'.
This 'Looking Back Beauty' was presented in Yohji Yamamoto's art installation "Art Complex by Yohji Yamamoto A Beauty Looking Back" in 2013. The back view of a woman, which Yohji Yamamoto has been pursuing for many years, is expressed with a touch that is reminiscent of the 'Beauty Looking Back' painted by ukiyo-e artists of the Edo era.
Yohji Yamamoto's signature logo embroidered on the cap and bucket hat looks like the standard logo at first glance, but it's actually taken from the artwork, which is a new approach to this collaboration.
The "S/S Cotton Tee" featuring the "YY" artwork that Yohji Yamamoto used in its show invitation in the early 1990s will also be lined up.
This capsule collection will be available at Yohji Yamamoto stores and official stockists and selected New Era stores from 10 August.
