New York-based streetwear brand Awake NY and nanamica will launch a capsule collection.
Founded by creative director Angelo Baque, Awake NY has become a fashion-lover's favorite, offering a wide range of colors and a deep understanding of 90s culture and New York street culture.
Whereas, nanamica is another iconic Tokyo city style brand with a unique silhouette and simple design. The fact that nanamica opened its first store in New York's Soho two years ago and that might have led to this collaboration.
The crown and laurel emblems are featured throughout the items, and the American traditional wear-inspired design shows the two brands' approach to incorporating traditional styles into their streetwear.
The collection offers a maching set made from nanamica's signature and functional material ALPHADRY®, long-sleeve oxford shirts, co-branded tees, sweatshirts and bags - showcasing the spirit of both brands.
