The Brand Will Hold its First Show in Paris in 2023

FASHION PRIZE OF TOKYO, which aims to accelerate Japanese talent to become internationally recognised fashion designers, has announced its fifth award-winning designer.

Tomoki Koizumi, the designer of TOMO KOIZUMI, has been awarded this year's prize. The judging was based on the brand's potential as a Tokyo brand to grow globally, its design, number of items and price range, its ambition to expand overseas and the brand's structure.

Since TOMO KOIZUMI was spotted by world-renowned fashion stylist Katie Grand, the brand has gained its reputation over the past few years, being featured in a variety of both japanese and international magazines, and worn by celebrities. The costume-like collection is characterised by its bright colors and bold silhouettes.

The award will support the brand to hold two show events in Paris in 2023 with the aim of raising its international profile, as well as an event at Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO in March next year.
